I was studying architecture at Pratt Institute in 1998 and miserably struggling with the realization that it wasn't my calling. One of my roommates, an illustration student, was working on a holiday card. That sounded fun, so I took a break from my studies and started my own. The front would be a pen and ink drawing of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. I realized I was more inspired and energized working on this project than anything I had done all semester, and over winter break, I decided to switch majors. The rest, as they say, is history, and I've enjoyed creating holiday cards almost annually since that first one. Some are available for purchase at my Etsy shop
